Prime Minister Hamza Abdi Barre has spoken out strongly against Monday’s attack by a suicide bomber at a military base in Mogadishu.
The Office of the Prime Minister released a press statement describing those who carried out the daring attack as “cowards.”
He called it a “cowardly attack.”
Prime Minister Barre added that the federal government regrets what happened at the military base.
A lone soldier blew himself up at the Jalle Siyaad Military Academy leaving 25 other soldiers dead and dozens more seriously injured.
Al-Shabaab claimed responsibility for the attack.
