Bashir Officially Takes Over as Somalia’s New Environment Minister

Prime Minister Hamza Abdi Barre attended a formal handover ceremony in Mogadishu on Sunday, where two new ministers officially assumed their roles in the Somali government.

Bashir Mohamed Jama took over as the Minister of Environment and Climate Change, focusing on Somalia’s environmental challenges and climate resilience.

Meanwhile, Khadija Al-Makhzoumi assumed the position of Minister of Human Rights and Family Affairs, a role critical for advancing human rights and family welfare initiatives in the country.
