Mohamud Beenebeene has taken over as the new Minister of Planning, Investment, and Economic Development in the Federal Government of Somalia (FGS).
Beenebeene took over the mantle of leadership from his predecessor, Jamal Hassan.
The handing-over ceremony took place in Mogadishu on Saturday, August 13 in the presence of Prime Minister Hamza Abdi Barre.
During the ceremony, Beenebeene expressed his great honor in taking over the ministry.
He expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Barre for appointing him into such a critical ministry to serve Somalis.
His predecessor wished him success in his new responsibilities.
