An officer working with Puntland’s Ministry of Finance has lost his life after unknown gunmen shot him in Galkayo.
Reports from the region indicate that unknown gunmen shot and killed Abdirahman Mohamed Abdi on Saturday night.
Until the time of his death, Abdi served Puntland’s finance ministry as a tax collector.
The reasons for his killing remain unclear.
However, authorities have launched investigations into the identity and motive of the unidentified assailants who snapped his life short.
Abdi was leaving a mosque in Gaasir, Galkayo when he was shot.
