Beledweyne flood victims have a reason to smile despite all the doom and gloom they have experienced in the last few days.
On Friday, the government assured them of humanitarian intervention and support.
The assurance came forth when HirShabelle’s Vice President Yusuf Ahmed visited the offices of the Somali Disaster Management Agency (SODMA) on Friday.
He held discussions with SODMA officials led by Commissioner Mohamed Moallim.
Beledweyne has been under floods for much of this week ever since River Shabelle burst its banks as a result of the incessant rains.
