President Muse Bihi Abdi hosted a delegation of senior Djiboutian government officers in his office in Hargeisa on Thursday, November 12.
Mohamed Ahmed Awale, the Minister of Agriculture, led the delegation from Djibouti.
The agriculture minister had arrived in Hargeisa on Wednesday with his delegation for a series of meetings with their Somaliland counterparts.
Bihi discussed diplomatic and trade relations between Somaliland and Djibouti with Awale.
They also sought to identify ways of strengthening bilateral trade between them and the need for boosting robust cooperation between their governments.
Afterward, Awale addressed the media on the areas of cooperation he identified with Bihi. He also spoke of Djibouti’s commitment to implementing development projects in Somaliland.
For starters, Djibouti pledged to prioritize the drilling water wells in Somaliland’s Ziela region.
