President Muse Bihi Abdi of Somaliland held talks with representatives from Ethiopia’s Somali region on October 2.
The representatives were on an official visit to Hargeisa to meet with Bihi and other senior government officials.
The Chief of Security for the Ethiopia’s Somali region, Dr. Husein Hashi Qasim, led the high-level delegation, which has been in Somaliland’s capital for the last two days.
Dr. Qasim commended President Bihi for ensuring that Somaliland remains a haven of peace and stability in a region known for chaos, insecurity, and non-stop conflicts.
Both sides agreed to strengthen cooperation between themselves, especially on the security issues to combat terrorism.
