The body of a Member of Parliament (MP) who was killed in Beledweyne on Wednesday has been airlifted to Mogadishu.
The plane carrying the body of legislator Amina Mohamed landed at Aden Adde International Airport in the nation’s capital on Thursday.
Mohamed was killed in a terror attack in Beledweyne together with 19 other people.
Various leaders – including President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmaajo and Prime Minister Mohamed Hussein Roble – have condemned the attack that killed her.
She is expected to be laid to rest in Mogadishu on March 24.
