The Council of Cabinet has approved the new Immigration Law of Somalia.
The cabinet approved the law on Thursday, January 4 during the weekly meeting held at Villa Somalia in Mogadishu.
Further, the ministers approved the Immigration and Naturalization Directorate Establishment Law.
Ministers agreed that the regulations are critical for development of service delivery.
They added that the laws would enable improvement of the skills of officers while promoting immigration and securing the nation’s borders.
