The Council of Cabinet has created a support fund for the victims of Mogadishu’s K-5 Junction terrorist attack.
The cabinet created the Victims Support Fund after holding an emergency meeting on Sunday, October 30.
Their meeting took place following a directive from President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud urging them to take care of those killed or injured in Saturday’s terror attack.
The Federal Government of Somalia (FGS) has led the way by making a contribution of $1 million toward the fund.
Currently, the death toll from the weekend blast stands at 107 with more than 300 injured and in hospital for treatment.
