The Somali cabinet has voted to reactivate the Joint Security Forces (JSF) for Mogadishu.
Prime Minister Mohamed Hussein Roble chaired the latest meeting of the Council of Cabinet on December 30.
During Thursday’s Council of Cabinet meeting, the ministers agreed that the Joint Security Forces must be reactivated for the nation’s capital.
Previously, the Council of Cabinet had approved JSF following recommendation from the Ministry of Internal Security.
JSF’s primary responsibility is the stability of Mogadishu.
Consequently, the Council of Cabinet formed a Cabinet Subcommittee to prepare a Security Plan as a matter of great urgency.
