Calm has returned to Galgadud after a week of a heavy gunfight.

Authorities from the regional state of Galmudug announced that the residents of Galgadud are now enjoying a bit of calm.

Two clans have been feuding for over seven days.

Their fight kicked off on Saturday, August 27 leaving a trail of death, injuries, and destruction behind.

The two clans involved in the clash started fighting over a well.

Several days later, they have now agreed to set their hostilities aside following the intervention of elders and local authorities.
