Campaigns for the upcoming presidential elections in Somalia have intensified in the last few days.
Candidates have been spreading their message through various platforms to convince legislators that they are the right fit for the job.
President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmaajo has officially declared his candidacy.
He will face stiff competition from dozens of contestants who desire to unseat him and lead the East African nation.
They include ex-Prime Minister Hassan Ali Khaire.
Others are two former presidents of Somalia, Sheikh Shariff Ahmed and Hassan Sheikh.
Dahir Mohamud Gelle, a career civil servant, has also emerged as one of the candidates interested in taking over the reins from President Farmaajo.
