The Central Bank of Somalia (CBS) has opened a new branch in HirShabelle.
President Ali Gudlawe Hussein of HirShabelle State opened the branch on Friday.
He was in the company of senior officials from the Central Bank.
Gudlawe said that the new branch will enhance the efficiency of payment systems.
He expressed hope that it would also stimulate economic activities in HirShabelle.
Central Bank has been opening a number of branches around Somalia in the last few months.
