CBS launched the code on June 20.
The launching of the standardized code is part of the reforms that CBS has been undertaking in the country.
Central Bank said that the cde would be known as “SOMQR.”
SOMQR is set to change the financial and payment landscape in the East African nation.
It’s not only low cost but also scalable and secure.
These attributes make it the ideal option as a swift payment platform.
