Lieutenant General Salim Hajji Othman, Chief of Staff for the Tanzanian Army, arrived in Mogadishu on Monday.
He was warmly welcomed by Somali officials, including Somalia’s Ambassador to Tanzania, Ilyas Ali Hassan.
- The Assistant Commander of the Somali National Army (SNA), General Madey Nurey Sheikh Uforow was also at Aden Adde International Airport in Mogadishu to welcome Lt. Gen. Othman.
His visit is expected to strengthen military cooperation and enhance regional security ties between Somalia and Tanzania.
