Director William Burns of the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) held a meeting with Somali President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud on Wednesday.
The meeting between the CIA Director and the Somali President took place at the Aden Adde International Airport in Mogadishu.
Mahad Salad, the Director of Somalia’s National Intelligence and Security Agency (NISA), attended the discussions too.
The three discussed several issues.
Top on the list was the recent controversial agreement between Ethiopia and Somaliland. They also spoke about increased cooperation in security matters.
The ongoing fight against terrorism as well as the latest developments in the region also featured prominently in their discussions.
