Somaliland’s Criminal Investigation Department (CID) has summoned an official of Waddani Party to the CID headquarters for interrogation.
CID said that Saed Sulub, the country’s Minister of Livestock Development, had lodged a complaint against the Waddani official thus the reason for the summons.
The Waddani official, who has been identified as its Secretary General, has confirmed this news. He says the minister was dismayed by the fierce criticisms launched against him.
Waddani Secretary General says his criticisms of the minister are only designed to improve the services the ministry offers in the country.
The Secretary General says being a member of a national party accords him the right to speak about issues affecting the entire country.
He also indicates that neither the CID nor the minister will succeed in silencing the party to prevent it from speaking up against ills witnessed anywhere in the country.
