The COVID-19 pandemic has claimed another 15 lives as the Ministry of Health released the latest figures on September 2.
On Thursday, the health ministry’s fresh updates indicated that the death toll now stands at 992.
Moreover, it confirmed 164 new COVID-19 positive cases; a figure that pushes the number of cases in this East African nation to 17,630.
Somaliland led with 73 cases. Puntland and Banadir followed with 59 and 27 of the cases while Jubaland had four.
With 71 people recovering from the disease, the tally of recoveries is now at 8,604.
The ministry said that these numbers were from 2,325 samples that health officers around the country tested in the last 48 hours.
