Danab Special Forces concluded their recent training in Lower Shabelle region on December 3.
General Odowa Yusuf Rage, the Commander of Somali National Army (SNA), presided over the closing ceremony of the training exercise.
The training has been taking place at the Baledogle Military Base in southern Lower Shabelle.
The government of the United States supported the training, which was then facilitated by instructors from Danab Commandos.
During the closing ceremony, the freshly trained troops displayed some of the high-level skills they learned.
They exhibited some of the skills, which include enemy tactics and psychic defenses.
Gen. Odowa promised the new batch of soldiers that they would participate in military operations around the country to help other security agencies to defeat terrorism.
Danab Special Forces, which was established in 2013, has grown exponentially from a unit comprising 150 soldiers to one with between 1,000 and 2,500 troops.
