Authorities have reported that heavy fighting has broken out in Galkayo between the specially trained Danab Forces and clan militia.
The fight, which broke out on Saturday, has already caused the deaths of four people while dozens more have suffered varying degrees of injuries.
Eyewitnesses and health authorities have reported the deaths and injuries.
According to them, fighting broke out when clan militia attacked a military base full of Danab Special Forces in the town.
They were responding to reports that the elite US-trained forces raided the house of a businessperson who is related to some of the militiamen.
Nevertheless, no confirmation has come forth from either the militia or members of the Danab Forces regarding the fight.
