DANAB Special Forces have killed 17 Al-Shabaab militants in two regional states.
The forces, which are part of the Somali National Army (SNA) commandos, killed the militants in the last 24 hours.
Military sources confirmed the news to the media on May 12.
During the operation, the government soldiers also destroyed nine hideouts belonging to members of the militia group.
The hideouts were in diverse places such as Dharkeyn, Abaaqa, Jerusalem, and Urur.
It is not clear whether the government side suffered any casualties during the deadly clashes with the militants.
