A journalist working for Danan Radio station has been shot.
The journalist, who was identified as Abdifatah Abdulakdir Sharif, survived the attempted murder.
He was rushed to a local hospital where he is currently receiving medication for the injuries sustained during the attack.
Security authorities confirmed that the incident took place at 6 Piano, which is in Hodan District on Thursday.
The reasons and motive for the attack on Sharif remain unknown although local police have launched investigations into the matter.
