The federal Minister of Defense was at the Senate (Upper House) today to brief senators on the progress of the ongoing operations against Al-Shabaab militia around the country.
Defense Minister Abdulkadir Mohamed Nur met with members of the Security and Defense Committee of the Upper House on Wednesday.
He was together with Abdifatah Kasim, the Deputy Minister of Defense while bringing senators up to speed on the counterterrorism operations.
In addition to that, Nur and his deputy provided more information on the ongoing reforms within Somali National Armed Forces (SNAF).
