The federal Minister of Defense has traveled to Kismayo for a meeting with regional leaders.
Abdulkadir Mohamed Nur, the defense minister, traveled to the administrative capital of Jubbaland state with Brig. Gen. Odawa Yusuf Rageh.
Brig. Gen. Rageh is the Somali National Army (SNA) chief.
They arrived in Kismayo on Saturday, November 26.
The two are expected to hold talks with regional leaders from Jubbaland and SNA officials to discuss the ongoing military operations against terrorists in the area.
