Defense ministers from frontline states are to attend a regional summit on security in Somalia.
Daud Aweis, Somalia’s Minister of Information, announced that defense ministers from the four frontline states will be in the country for the upcoming summit.
The Somalia-Frontline States Summit will attract defense ministers from Somalia, Kenya, Ethiopia, and Djibouti.
Similarly, the chiefs of defense forces from the four nations will attend the summit too.
During the summit, participants will discuss security-related issues affecting the region.
Specifically, they are scheduled to discuss and adopt a common position on regional security and the ongoing fight against Al-Shabaab militants.
