A military delegation from the Somali National Armed Forces (SNAF) visited the headquarters of Turkish military institutions on Friday.
Some of the Turkish military institutions visited included the Training and Doctrine Command (EDOK), Artillery and Missile School, MEBS School and Training Center, and the Mountain Commando School.
The visit underscores the robust defense partnership between Somalia and Turkey.
Turkey’s support, particularly through training and equipping Somalia’s elite special forces, Gorgor, reflects its critical role as an ally in enhancing Somalia’s military capabilities.
This collaboration is instrumental in building a more professional and effective Somali military, vital for countering terrorism and ensuring long-term stability in the region.
