President Said Abdullahi Deni held a meeting with several Puntland groups and influential individuals to discuss the ongoing elections crisis in Somalia.
Deni’s meeting with the Puntland groups took place on February 1.
The Puntland President expressed his pleasure at the opportunity he got to consult and share views with wide-ranging groups.
He held the meeting with several representatives of the federal and regional government.
Others at the Monday meeting included politicians and representatives of the civil society organizations.
Intellectual and academic groups from the regional state also showed up to express their views on issues affecting Puntland and the nation at large.
Deni is scheduled to depart Puntland and travel to Dhusamareb in Galmudug for the Federal Government of Somalia (FGS) and Federal Member States (FMS) elections talks.
The Dhusamareb talks kick off on February 1-3.
