President Said Abdullahi Deni of Puntland expressed gratitude at getting the chance to take part in the Somali Partnership Forum (SPF).
Deni addressed the one-day workshop on Monday, December 7.
He was to attend the forum in person but changed his mind because of the stance by the Federal Government of Somalia (FGS) regarding upcoming elections.
Deni addressed the gathering virtually through Zoom.
During his speech, he outlined the current electoral situation in the country.
He also took the opportunity to talk about the achievements of his administration in Puntland and the challenges faced over the last two years.
Puntland is scheduled to participate in parliamentary elections that take place in December 2020 before joining the rest of the country in the presidential polls set for February 2021.
