Deni says Farmaajo is as Much of a Threat to Somalia as Al-Shabaab

President Said Abdullahi Deni of Puntland has accused Villa Somalia of being as much of a threat to the country as Al-Shabaab.

Deni said this while addressing Puntland Development and Research Center meeting at Garowe on February 21.

The Puntland said this while giving details of conversations he’s had with President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmaajo over the course of the last two years.

Deni was opening up about this issue for the first time.

At one time, Deni claimed to have asked Farmaajo why he was ruling by force.

In his answer, Farmaajo informed Deni that Al-Shabaab was also ruling various parts of the country by force.

Last week, Deni says that he called Farmaajo about the violence meted on opposition supporters by government troops in Mogadishu.

On this issue, Farmaajo said any person who violates the law would be liable for prosecution.
