Outgoing President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmaajo held elections talks between Federal Government of Somalia (FGS) and Federal Member States (FMS).
The talks kicked off on February 21 at Villa Somalia.
Notably, only three regional state leaders attended the talks.
President Said Abdullahi Deni of Puntland and President Ahmed Islam Madobe of Jubbaland were not in Sunday’s talks.
President Abdiaziz Ahmed Lafta-Gareen of Southwest State, President Ali Guudlaawe of HirShabelle State, and President Ahmed Abdi Karie Qoorqoor of Galmudug were at the talks.
Prime Minister Mohamed Hussein Roble attended the talks as did Omar Filish, who doubles as the Mayor of Mogadishu and the Governor of Banadir Region.
