Brigadier General Madey Nurey Sheikh, the Deputy Chief of Somali National Force (SNA), led a Somali delegation in attending the East African Community Chiefs of Defence Forces meeting in Nairobi, Kenya, on Friday.
Participants at the conference discussed ways of evaluating and tackling the persistent security issues bedeviling east Democratic Republic of the Congo.
They spoke about fostering collaborative discussions among military leaders from multiple East African countries to promote regional stability too.
Notably, the Somali Ambassador to Tanzania, Ilyas Ali Hassan, was also part of the delegation representing his country at the function.
