Senator Abshir Axmad, the Deputy Speaker of Senate, has hailed the news that Dr. Abdifatah Barre intends to vie in the upcoming mayoral elections in Galkayo.
Dr. Barre has announced his candidature.
Senator Axmad commended him for displaying the sort of ambition that other youths around the country need to go into politics.
Axmad believes that Dr. Barre offers youths hope in politics.
Consequently, he has urged more youths to submit their names for various seats in the upcoming elections around the country.
Somalia is scheduled to hold national elections in November 2020 before following these up with the presidential polls in March 2021.
