Turkey’s Deputy Ambassador to Somalia donated $50,000 to help victims of last year’s floods in Somalia.
Deputy Ambassador Armağan Ardoğa donated the funds to the Somali Disaster Management Agency (SODMA) on Wednesday.
While donating the funds, Amb. Ardoğa informed SODMA officials that the money was from AFAD Turkey.
SODMA Commissioner Mahamuud Moallim received the funds on behalf of the government. He promised to use the funds for the required purpose and thanked Turkey for the kind gesture.
