Abdirahman Sheikh Hassan, the Director General in the Ministry of Justice, has been suspended from office and stripped off all his powers.
Mustafe Mohamoud Ali, the Minister of Justice wrote a letter dated August 26 informing the Director General of his suspension.
In the letter, the minister told the Director General that he no longer has authority to sign any official document or correspondence from the ministry.
Furthermore, Mustafe sent a copy of the letter to President Muse Bihi Abdi of Somaliland.
However, reports now indicate that the Director General has responded to the letter informing him of his suspension from office.
Director General Hassan has also copied the letter to President Bihi.
The President is now expected to step in to resolve the spat between the two senior officials in his administration.
