Ahmed Awil, the Chairman of Somalia’s Federal Election Dispute Resolutions Committee (FEDRC) met a top United Nations diplomat in Mogadishu.
The meeting between Awil and Kiki Gbeho took place on February 2.
Gbeho is the United Nations Deputy Special Representative for Somalia.
During Wednesday’s meeting, the two leaders discussed several issues including the need for holding credible elections.
Awil’s committee is in charge of resolving any disputes resulting from the ongoing parliamentary elections.
