A senior district official lost his life in an explosion in Somalia.
Reports indicate that Professor Maallin Hussein Filla-Wayne died in the explosion that rocked the Yaqshid district on Tuesday, August 30.
The explosion occurred at night in Buulo Maahay neighborhoods, Karaan District.
Abdullahi Shillow, the Yaqshid District Deputy Commissioner in charge of Social Affairs, confirmed the shocking incident to the public.
According to Shillow, unknown people had planted an explosive device in Prof. Filla-Wayne’s vehicle.
The device exploded right in the car killing the Professor on the spot.
Some of his bodyguards might have been injured in the explosion too.
