A district official lost his life in a car explosion in Mogadishu on Tuesday, August 17.
Mohamed Abukar was hurt in the car explosion before being rushed to a local hospital where he eventually lost his life.
Sources said that the official was the target of the explosion.
Abukar’s car was traveling in Fiidow, which is between Garasbaley and Kahda when the explosion occurred.
He is the second district official to lose his life in this manner in the last three months.
In May, Abdirahman Ali Garyare, who is Abukar’s predecessor, also died in a car explosion that took place in Dharkenley District.
