President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud of Somalia has awarded his Djiboutian counterpart the Somali Medal of Honor.
President Mohamud issued the award to President Ismail Omar Guelleh of Djibouti the highest honor in Somalia on Thursday.
He had hosted the Djiboutian President at Villa Somalia.
President Guelleh has been in Somalia on a three-day official visit.
During the dinner held in honor of the Djiboutian leader, President Mohamud commended his counterpart for supporting the government and people of Somalia well over the years.
He also spoke about the cooperation and relationship between Somalia and Djibouti.
