Djibouti President to Visit Somalia on Wednesday

President Ismael Omar Guelleh of Djibouti is to travel to Somalia on December 28 for an official visit.

Consequently, the Aden Adde International Airport will remain closed for almost the entire day.

A statement from the Somali Civil Aviation Authority (SCAA) indicates that the airport would be shut down for maintenance from 6am to 6pm.

Several key roads in the nation’s capital would also be closed.

The government has beefed up security in and around the city for the duration of President Guelleh’s visit.

President Guelleh visits Somalia for the second time since his host President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud won the presidential elections in Maay this year.
