Engineers and experts from Djibouti were in the regional state of Galmudug on Friday to assess the site where a new port will be constructed.
They visited the proposed site for the construction of Hobyo Port.
Galmudug wants to build a new state-of-the-art port at Hobyo.
Funding for the construction works will come from the local authorities. Local businessmen and international investors have stated their readiness to work together to see the port built.
