President Ismail Omar Guelleh is in Mogadishu for the inauguration of the 10th President of Somalia.
Guelleh arrived in Mogadishu on June 9.
He joins other dignitaries, who include heads of states and governments, in attending President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud’s inauguration.
President Guelleh has previously attended the inauguration ceremonies of two other Somali presidents.
The first one was in 2012 when President Mohamud won that year’s presidential elections.
Next, he attended the 2017 ceremony when ex-President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmaajo emerged victorious.
Prime Minister Mohamed Hussein Roble was at the Aden Adde International Airport to welcome President Guelleh and the Djiboutian delegation.
