The Somali Civil Aviation Authority (SCAA) has implemented a ban on the use of drones within a 5-nautical-mile radius of Mogadishu’s Adan Abdulle International Airport.
SCAA announced the ban on Sunday and added that it takes place with immediate effect.
Exceptions will only be made for drones that have received official permission from the authority.
This measure is likely aimed at enhancing airspace security and ensuring the safety of airport operations.
