The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) says that the El Nino rains that caused plenty of floods in Somalia will continue.
Hundreds of people died in Somalia from floods caused by the heavy El Nino rains late last year.
According to OCHA, the rains are projected to continue falling in the East African nation well into 2024.
OCHA warned Somalis in the country to expect above normal rains.
The organization added that the rains would cause extensive floods in March-April this year in different parts of Somalia.
OCHA expects the floods to cease in May-June.
