Mukhtar Mohamed Ware has termed Somalia as a “creation of Colonialists.”
Ware, who is the Ethiopian Ambassador to Somalia, said this during an interview with the media back in his home country.
His comments are likely to worsen the relations between Ethiopia and Somalia.
Currently, Ethiopia and Somalia are caught in a diplomatic row stemming from the former’s decision to sign a controversial deal with Somaliland.
The remarks by Amb. Ware won’t earn him any sympathies in Mogadishu where the Ethiopia-Somaliland deal has been trashed.
