Jamaludin Omar, the Ethiopian Ambassador to Somalia, has denied reports that his government intends to withdraw troops from Somalia.
Earlier this month, it was reported that Ethiopia would withdraw its troops, especially those who are not part of African Union Mission in Somalia (AMISOM).
Furthermore, he denied reports that the Ethiopian National Defense Force (ENDF) targeted Tigray fighters in Somalia.
Ambassador Omar admitted that he had put in place several “safety measures” to avoid a recurrence of an incident that took place at the Northern Command.
