Reports indicate that yet another Kenyan plane was shot at allegedly by Ethiopian troops in Somalia yesterday in Qansahdere, Bay Region.
The plane, which was transporting humanitarian aid, was engulfed in fire mid-air after the shooting incident.
Upon landing, bullet holes were clearly visible on the side of the plane.
The plane is registered to Blue Bird Aviation, a Kenyan firm that also owns it.
The incident comes barely a month after another one in Baidoa, which caused the deaths of all the five people who were in it.
In the first incident, Kenyan government joined its counterparts in Somalia in demanding a comprehensive probe into the incident.
The African Union and other international partners also requested a detailed report and investigation into allegations that Ethiopian troops shot the first plane.
Later, though, Ethiopian troops admitted culpability in the matter saying that they shot the plane after it behaved strangely forcing them to conclude that it was on a suicide mission.
The latest incident is likely to lead to another round of condemnation and confusion as authorities seek answers to the people or groups behind the shooting.
