Ethiopia’s Somali State has indicated that it would be defending itself against the Tigray Defense Forces (TDF).
Over the last few days, TDF rebels have been making ground against the Ethiopia National Defense Forces (ENDF).
Somali State’s President Mustafa Omer promised to protect the region from TDF.
In the last few weeks, TDF rebels have taken control of several towns in Ahmara and Afar.
President Omer vowed to mobilize regional forces against TDF.
“We are ready to protect our people and region at all costs,” President Omer vowed.
The conflict between the ENDF and TDF has been ongoing for several months now.
