EU to Install 20 Streetlights in Galmudug to Improve Safety of Female Students

The European Union (EU) Delegation to Somalia has promised to support the installation of 20 streetlights in Galmudug.

The streetlights would help to improve the safety of female students in the region.

Specifically, the streetlights would light the paths that female students use when walking to and from the local universities.

EU announced this plan on Saturday, November 26.

It would work closely with Marwon Union and the International Organization for Migration (IOM) to put up the streetlights.

The installation of the streetlights is part of the 16 Days of Activism program.
