The federal Minister of Defense spent much of Sunday visiting Danab commandos in Kismayo, the administrative capital of Jubbaland state.
Abdulkadir Mohamed Nur, the defense minister, was with Danab commandos, a special Somali National Army (SNA) unit, encouraging them for the excellent job they continue doing.
He urged them to prepare for the mother-of-all security operations against the Al-Shabaab terrorists in the region.
Nur informed the commandos that the government needs them to be fit and ready for large-scale operations to liberate the region from terrorists in the next few days.
